Flora's Kentucky Hot Brown

  1. In a skillet brown your bacon until crispy.
  2. For the cheese sauce combine butter and flour in a saucepan and cook until thickened approximately 2 minutes.
  3. Slowly add the cream to the butter and flour and whisk until the cream starts to simmer.
  4. Remove from burner and add 1/4 cup of the parmesan cheese.
  5. Stir to incorporate.
  6. In a 13X9 pan lay out the 4 slices of bread.
  7. Place several pieces of turkey on each slice.
  8. Then lay your tomato slices on the turkey.
  9. I did half with and half without, since my husband doesnt like it.
  10. Coat with the cheese sauce
  11. Add the remaining parmesan cheese on top of the sandwiches
  12. Pop under the broiler until golden brown.
  13. To serve top with 2 crisscrossed pieces of bacon and sprinkle with paprika.
