Granny'S 7-Up Cake
- 1 (16 1/2 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 4 eggs
- 1 Jell-O instant lemon pudding, mix 3 . 4 oz
- 3/4 cup Wesson Oil
- 1 (12 ounce) can 7-up
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup shreeded coconut (more if needed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 (6 ounce) can crushed pineapple, do not drain
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons flour or 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries in syrup
- 1 cup crushed pecans
- tre heat oven 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
- tix cake mix and pudding mix add 7-up, eggs and oil.
- teat 1 minute.
- takes 3 round 9 inch layers' cake pans.
- take 40 minutes.
- tool 45 minutes in pan, then spread filling between layers and on top.
- tix flour or Corn starch and sugar, add beaten eggs, margarine, and pineapple.
- took until thick.
- tdd coconut, nuts, and vanilla.
- tut cherries on top (lay whole cherries on top).
- Note*** put drained cherry juice in the icing before it is cooked. That will turn the icing pink.
- Note***You can cool the cake's longer before icing.
