Short Cakes (For Strawberry Shortcake)
- 2 cups flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 13 cup Crisco
- 23 cup milk
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Cut in the Crisco and add milk.
- Either roll dough out 1/2 inch thick or if in a hurry drop on greased pan and flatten by putting a wet paper towel on the bottom of a glass & press.
- Sugar each one on top.
- Bake in oven at 425 degrees until golden.
