Barbecued Ribs Recipe
- 3 lb beef simmering short ribs sliced
- 2 x onions minced
- 4 x cloves garlic chopped
- 1 c. water
- 1 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. fancy molasses
- 2 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 2 tsp dry thyme
- 1 tsp dry mustard
- 3/4 tsp each salt and pepper
- 1/2 c. cool water
- 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp cider vinegar
- Use 18- to 24- c. (4.5 to 6 L) slow cooker.
- Add in all ingredients to slow cooker except for 1/2 c. cool water, flour and vinegar.
- Cook on Low for 7 to 8 hrs, or possibly cook on High for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hrs.
- Whisk water with flour.
- Add in flour mix to slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 15 to 20 min or possibly till thickened.
- Stir in vinegar.
- NOTES : Slow cooking makes beef ribs nice and tender.
- A baked potato or possibly rice is a perfect partner.
