Rolled Oat Cookies

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add the water and vanilla; mix well.
  3. Combine the dry ingreadients; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  4. Chill for 30 minutes.
  5. Shape dough into two 1 1/2 inch rolls; wrap tightly in waxed paper.
  6. Chill for 2 hours or until firm.
  7. Cut into 1/2 inch slices and place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.
  8. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  9. Remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
