Microwave Tuna Pasta Bake Recipe
- 6 strips Creamette lasagna
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. unsifted flour
- 2 c. minced fresh or possibly frzn vegetables
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 1/3 c. ReaLemon lemon juice from concentrate
- 1 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (12 1/2 ounce.) can StarKist tuna, liquid removed
- Place lasagna in 12 x 7 inch glass baking dish; cover with water and set aside.
- In 1 qt glass measure, combine onion, oil and flour.
- Cook on 100% power (high) 1 minute; stir to dissolve flour.
- Stir in vegetables and lowfat milk; cook on 100% power (high) 4 min, stirring once.
- Stir in ReaLemon brand.
- Combine 1 c. mozzarella, cottage cheese, Parmesan, egg and pepper.
- Drain lasagna.
- In same dish, layer half each lasagna, vegetables, cheese and tuna.
- Repeat layers; top with remaining 1/2 c. mozzarella.
- Cover; cook on 100% power (high) 15 min or possibly till warm.
- Let stand 10 min.
- Chill leftovers.
- Microwave ovens vary in wattage and power output.
- Cooking times may need to be adjusted.
