Vickys Strawberry Gin, Christmas Gift Idea

• 450 grams frozen strawberries, defrosted and crushed roughly
• 150 grams caster sugar
• 750 ml gin
• 1 a litre wide necked bottle or jar

1. Spoon the crushed strawberries into the bottle, add the sugar and gin, seal and shake gently
2. Leave the bottle at room temperature and shake twice a day for 3 days to help dissolve the sugar
3. Strain the mixture and return to the bottle, seal and label with a use by date of 3 months time
4. Make the week before Xmas for optimum drinking time.
5. If giving as a gift write a cocktail idea on the back of the gift tag!
