Vickys Strawberry Gin, Christmas Gift Idea
- 450 grams frozen strawberries, defrosted and crushed roughly
- 150 grams caster sugar
- 750 ml gin
- 1 a litre wide necked bottle or jar
- Spoon the crushed strawberries into the bottle, add the sugar and gin, seal and shake gently
- Leave the bottle at room temperature and shake twice a day for 3 days to help dissolve the sugar
- Strain the mixture and return to the bottle, seal and label with a use by date of 3 months time
- Make the week before Xmas for optimum drinking time.
- If giving as a gift write a cocktail idea on the back of the gift tag!
