Snickerdoodles

• 1 cup shortening
• 1-1/2 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2-3/4 cup flour, sifted
• 2 tsp. cream of tarter
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1 tbsp. sugar
• 2 tsp. cinnamon

1. Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
2. Stir in flour, soda and salt.
3. Shape dough in balls the size of walnuts.
4. Roll in sugar cinnamon mixture.
5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400F, or until lightly browned.
