Mom's Apple Crisp
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 34 cup flour
- 14 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
- 12 cup butter
- 1 12 teaspoons cinnamon
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 5 -7 apples, cored & thinly sliced
- Preheat oven to 425F.
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Add butter and cut with a pastry knife until crumbly.
- Place apples in the bottom of a casserole dish.
- Add flour and sugar mixture to the top.
- Firmly press flour and sugar mixture down.
- Bake in oven for 45 minutes or until bubbly and browned.
- Serve hot with or without vanilla ice cream.
