Biscuit Berry Shortcake Recipe

  1. * If using strawberries, hull and slice
  2. Split the biscuits and place the bottoms on six dessert plates.
  3. Reserve the tops.
  4. In a bowl, combine the berries, sugar to taste and lemon juice.
  5. Toss.
  6. In a second bowl, whip the cream till soft peaks form.
  7. Add in the sugar, vanilla and salt and whip till well combined.
  8. Spoon berries over the biscuit halves.
  9. Cover generously with whipped cream, then replace the tops.
  10. Spoon any extra berries around the shortcake.
