Pineapple Angel Food Refrigerator Dessert Recipe

  1. Soften 2 pkgs.
  2. of unflavored gelatin in 1/2 c. cool water.
  3. Beat 3 egg yolks till thick.
  4. Ad 2 c. lowfat milk and 1 c. sugar and beat thoroughly.
  5. Cook this custard till it coats the spoon.
  6. Add in the softened gelatin and stir till dissolved; cold.
  7. To the custard, add in 1 lb.
  8. can of crushed pineapple.
  9. mix in 3 stiffly beaten egg whites, 10 marshmallows, quartered and 1/2 c. walnuts, minced.
  10. Break an Angel Food cake into small pcs.
  11. Line a 9 x 13 inch pan with the cake pcs.
  12. our 1/2 of the gelatin mix over the cake crumbs.
  13. Add in more cake pcs and then pour the rest of the gelatin mix over it.
  14. Sprinkle a dusting of graham cracker crumbs over the top to decorate if you like.
  15. Chill.
  16. Top slices with whipped cream.
