Easy Swiss Apple Pie Recipe
- 1 box Pillsbury pie dough
- 4 lg. apples, Granny Smith
- 1/2 stick butter, unsalted
- 1/4 c. sugar
- Set oven at 350 degrees.
- Peel apples, cut in half, core, and partially slice halves so which slices don't separate.
- Butter and then flour pie pan.
- Roll out dough in 1 envelope and line bottom of pan.
- Dab dough with butter.
- Put in apples to cover dough.
- Dot remaining butter over apples.
- Sprinkle with sugar (except 2 Tbsp.).
- Roll out second sheet of dough and cover and seal.
- Poke holes with fork.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake for 1 hour till golden.
