Caramel-Swirl Hot Chocolate

  1. Bring 5 cups water and chocolate to simmer in medium saucepan, stirring to dissolve chocolate.
  2. Mix in 1/4 cup cream.
  3. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead.
  4. Cover and refrigerate.
  5. Bring to simmer, stirring frequently, before continuing.)
  6. Whip 1 cup cream and powdered sugar in medium bowl until peaks form.
  7. Drizzle caramel over and swirl together, forming streaks (do not overmix).
  8. Divide hot chocolate among 6 mugs.
  9. Top with generous amount of caramel whipped cream and serve.
