Linguine With Parmesan Cheese Sauce

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
  2. Cook first 4 ingredients in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
  3. Bring milk to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
  4. Whisk milk gradually into flour mixture until smooth.
  5. Bring mixture to a boil, whisking constantly.
  6. Reduce heat to medium, and simmer, stirring constantly, 3 minutes.
  7. Add cheese, and whisk until smooth.
  8. Cook linguine in boiling water according to package directions; drain and return to pot.
  9. Add sauce to hot linguine, and toss to coat.
  10. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately.
