Celery for Salads!
- 6 celery ribs, peeled, washed, and dried
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 ripe banana, crushed
- 12 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 12 cup ham, chopped finely
- 2 hard-cooked eggs, minced
- 1 -2 tablespoon mustard
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 12 cup kidney bean, cooked and smashed (canned okay)
- 12 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 12 small onion, minced
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 18 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- 12 cup imitation crabmeat, chopped
- 14 cup mushroom, chopped
- 14 cup celery, chopped
- 12 small onion, minced
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon lemon rind, zested
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon paprika (sweet or smoked)
- 3 ounces tuna in water, drained
- 14 cup sunflower seeds
- 14 cup cashews, chopped
- 14 cup almonds, sliced
- mayonnaise, to moisten
- Hawaiian Filling: Combine and fill celery.
- Ham Filling: Combine and fill celery.
- Bean/Cheese Filling: Combine and fill celery.
- Nutty Tuna Filling: Combine and fill celery.
- Imitation Crabmeat Filling: Cook celery and onions in butter until tender.
- Combine with rest of ingredients and fill celery.
- As you can see from list of ingredients, this recipe is only limited by your imagination but filling must be of a consistency to hold.
- It is important to peel the celery if you are appealing to young or old eaters as peeling gets rid of the stringy fibers.
- Make sure that the filling does not bulge out too far or it could fall out when tossing salad.
- After filling, slice into 3/4 to 1 inch pieces.
