Border Tart Recipe
- 8 ounce Shortcrust pastry
- 2 ounce Butter
- 2 ounce Dark soft brown sugar
- 1 x Egg, beaten
- 5 ounce Mixed dry fruit
- 1 ounce Walnuts, minced
- 1 ounce Glace cherries, minced FOR DECORATION
- 4 ounce Icing sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Water
- Set oven to 375F Gas 5.
- Grease a 7 inch round flan tin.
- Gently heat the butter and sugar together in a pan.
- Remove from the heat and leave to cold.
- Meanwhile roll out the pastry on a floured surface and line the flan tin
shortcrust pastry, butter, brown sugar, egg, walnuts, glace cherries, icing sugar, water
