Chinese-style Sesame Soup with Bacon and Lettuce

  1. Thinly slice the onion.
  2. Slice the bacon into 1cm strips.
  3. Chop the lettuce into bite-sizes.
  4. Beat the eggs.
  5. In boiled water, add onion, ham, and chicken stock.
  6. Boil for 4-5 minutes over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent.
  7. Season with the ingredients, and add the lettuce.
  8. Bring to a boil again, and add the egg by letting it trickle down a chopstick.
  9. Cover the pot and it's done in 10 seconds.
  10. Don't stir it.
  11. Ladle into bowls, and add a few drops of sesame oil to finish.
  12. Also add ra-yu spicy oil if you like it hot.
  13. I added bacon to the soup this time!
