Shrimp A La Newburg Via Texas Recipe
- Shrimp
- Crabboil Or possibly
- 1 onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 15 peppercorns
- cayenne
- 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. white sauce
- 1 c. cheese, grated
- 1/4 c. white wine
- 1 egg
- Lemon slices
- Bell pepper rings
- Paprika
- Boil shrimp in Crabboil or possibly seasonings, 2 min.
- Peel shrimp.
- Cook rice in water and salt, 15 min.
- Make white sauce.
- Add in cheese.
- Stir till melted.
- Add in wine and well beaten egg.
- Add in shrimp to sauce.
- Turn out into large casserole.
- Garnish with lemon and pepper.
- Serve.
