Pearl Meat Balls
- 34 cup sweet rice (glutinous rice)
- 1 lb ground pork
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 egg white
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sherry wine
- 2 tablespoons Bisquick baking mix or 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 5 water chestnuts, chopped
- Soak sweet rice overnight, drain and set aside.
- Mix ground pork with onion, egg white, soy sauce, salt, sherry, bisquick mix and water chestnuts.
- Form balls about 1 1/2" diameter.
- Roll balls in sweet rice until they are well covered.
- Place balls in steamer.
- Steam for 25 minutes.
- Serve hot.
- Note: Prep time does not include soaking time for sweet rice.
