Home-Style Meat Loaf with Garlic Whipped Potatoes

  1. Combine all meat loaf ingredients except French fried onions.
  2. Shape into an 8 x 4-inch loaf in shallow baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350F (180C) F for 60 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle meat loaf with French fried onions.
  5. Bake an additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden brown.
  6. Allow to stand 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. While meat loaf is baking, prepare potatoes.
  8. Prepare potatoes following package directions.
  9. While potatoes are cooking, saute garlic in olive oil and set aside.
  10. Microwave cream and butter on HIGH 1 to 2 minutes or until butter is melted; add to mashed potatoes.
  11. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  12. Pipe potatoes around base of meat loaf.
