Oven Fried Buttermilk Chicken
- 1 package Chicken Legs, Breast Or Your Pick Of The Chicken, About 10-12 Pieces In A Package
- 1/2 gallons Buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
- 1/4 cups Canola Oil
- 1 stick Melted Unsalted Butter
- 1/2 cups Flour
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- Wash your chicken and put it in a large bowl with all of the buttermilk and Old Bay seasoning.
- Allow to marinate at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Overnight is best!
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F. Mix the canola oil and butter together and place into your oven proof pan.
- I usually line my cookie sheets with foil or parchment paper to bake the chicken.
- Take chicken out of the buttermilk mixture and pat dry.
- Place the flour, salt and pepper into a baggie.
- Place chicken into the baggie and toss.
- Take out, shaking off any excess flour, and place onto the cookie sheet.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until juices are clear.
- Halfway through, turn the chicken over.
