Better Homes and Garden 1935 Stuffed Frankfurters

  1. Mix the bread, onion, celery and shortening.
  2. Moisten with the milk.
  3. Add the seasoning and mix thoroly note this was a BH&G typo.
  4. Split the frankfurters lengthwise on one side only, and fill the cavity with the stuffing.
  5. Wrap a slice of bacon around each frankfurter.
  6. Fasten the bacon with woodpins.
  7. If there is dressing left over, fashion into balls.
  8. Place them in a baking pan and bake at 400F for 20 minutes or until the bacon is crisp.
  9. Mrs. F. H. Peterson of Colorado submitted this to be published back in 1935.
