Grilled Glazed Tuna Steaks

  1. Combine sherry, gingerroot, soy sauce, honey andgarlic in a 1 cup glass measure.
  2. Microwave uncovered at high 1 minute or until mixture boils.
  3. Cool slightly.
  4. Place tuna in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish.
  5. Pour marinade over tuna.
  6. Cover and chill 2 hours.
  7. Remove tuna from marinade, reserving marinade.
  8. Preheat a 10 inch browning skillet at high for 8 minutes.
  9. Arrange tuna on hot browning skillet with thickest portions to the outside.
  10. Microwave uncovered at high for 2 minutes.
  11. Turn steaks over and baste with marinade.
  12. Microwave at high for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes.
  13. Let stand covered 2 minutes.
  14. Serve immediately with warm marinade.
  15. (may also grill outdoors.)
