Chocolate, All Grown Up: Malted Chocolate Squares
- 7 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
- Scant 1 cup milk chocolate, broken into pieces
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 cup finely crushed graham crackers
- 1 cup malted milk chocolate balls
- 1/2 cup malted milk chocolate balls
- 1/4 cup white chocolate, melted
- 1/4 cup milk chocolate, melted
- Grease a shallow 8-inch square cake pan with extra butter, and line base and sides, with parchment paper.
- In a medium pan, melt together the butter, milk, chocolate, and syrup, stirring together until smooth.
- Add the crushed graham crackers and stir until well coated in the chocolate mix.
- Add the chocolate balls and stir together quickly so that the chocolate covering on the outside of the balls does not melt.
- Tip into the prepared pan, press into an even layer, and chill until set.
- Lift out of the pan, using the paper, and cut into small squares to serve.
- For a special occasion, before cutting, sprinkle with the chopped chocolate balls, and drizzle with alternate lines of the melted white and melted milk chocolate.
