Cottage Pies

  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add vegetables and cook a further 5-8 minutes or until vegetables are just tender.
  4. Stir in water, tomato paste and Vegemite* until well combined.
  5. Simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Mash potatoes, add salad dressing and grated cheese and mix until smooth.
  7. Spoon meat mixture into 6 small greased oven proof dishes, top with mashed potato and bake at 180C for 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  8. Serve with steamed vegetables or salad.
