Cottage Pies
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 750g lean minced beef
- 2 cups finely chopped assorted vegetables (eg. carrots, peas, celery)
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon VEGEMITE
- 1 tablespoon mixed dried herbs
- black pepper, to taste
- 3 large (700g) potatoes, peeled, cooked
- 1/2 cup KRAFT* Ranch Dressing
- 1 cup grated KRAFT* Cheddar Cheese
- steamed vegetables or salad, to serve
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over a medium-high heat.
- Add beef and cook until browned.
- Add vegetables and cook a further 5-8 minutes or until vegetables are just tender.
- Stir in water, tomato paste and Vegemite* until well combined.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
- Mash potatoes, add salad dressing and grated cheese and mix until smooth.
- Spoon meat mixture into 6 small greased oven proof dishes, top with mashed potato and bake at 180C for 15 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Serve with steamed vegetables or salad.
