Moroccan Scrolls
- 2 cups SR flour
- 2 teaspoons Moroccan spice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 30g butter
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 3/4 -1 cup low fat milk
- Topping
- 125g PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese
- zest of 1 lemon Safeway 4 ct For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 1/2 teaspoon smokey paprika
- Sift dry ingredients into a bowl, rub in butter.
- Fold through carrot and milk until a soft sticky dough is formed.
- Knead on a floured surface until smooth.
- Roll to form a rectangle 20 x 30 cm, spread with Philly* and sprinkle over the lemon rind and paprika.
- Roll up on the longest side, as for a Swiss roll.
- Cut into 3 cm slices and place cut side up on a greased baking tray.
- Bake at 200C for 15- 20 minutes or until golden.
