Blue Ribbon Apple Bread Recipe
- 3 c. Butter Or possibly Margarine
- 1 1/4 c. Sugar
- 4 x Large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. Canned Apple Sauce
- 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
- 4 c. Flour, sifted
- 2 tsp Baking Pwdr
- 2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Grated Lemon Rind, 1" thick
- 1 c. Minced Nuts Pecan
- 1/2 c. Minced Raisins
- 1/2 c. Minced Dates
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Beat in Large eggs one at a tme.
- Stir in apple sauce and lowfat milk.
- Sift together dry ingredients.
- Add in to apple sauce mix and mix well.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Pour into 2 greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour or possibly till bread tests done.
- Cold on rack for 10 min.
- Remove bread from pan and cold.
