Pork Chops With Red Cabbage in Red Wine Sauce
- 4 bone in pork chops
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 small onion
- 1 cup bacon, diced and cooked
- 1 cup red wine
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 12 cup sugar
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 12 head red cabbage
- In a large saute pan render the diced bacon, then set it aside on paper towel, keep bacon fat in pan, add alittle olive oil.
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then add them to the pan.
- cook on both sides about 5 minute med high heat, then set aside.
- Add alittle more olive oil to pan then add the cabbage that you have simply sliced up, let it wilt down and softened, add bacon, onions, minced garlic 1 tbs of butter.
- Add wine, turn heat down to med lo let simmer till alchol is cooked out then add pork chop and the rest of the butter alittle at a time.
- till it thickens , serve hot.
