Jalapeno Powder

  1. ***BE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES WHEN WORKING WITH THIS PEPPER IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO THE OILS!

  3. Clean peppers.
  4. cut stems off and cut peppers into slices (for more faster and even drying using a food dehydrator).
  5. Place pepper slices on dehydrator trays.
  6. Dehydrate at 135F / 57C for 11 to 12 hours, or until fully dehydrated.
  7. **During the dehydrating time, the peppers will smell up the area.
  8. Be sure to have adequate airflow if you are sensitive.

  10. Grind peppers using a coffee grinder or a Nutribullet (using the milling blade).
  11. **During this step you may want to wear a facemask (to cover nose/mouth) to avoid breathing in the powder and clean up thuroughly afterwards if you are sensitive.
