Taco Meat
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 (1 ounce) packet taco seasoning
- 1 (16 ounce) jar chunky salsa
- 1 onion, chopped
- Spray pan with cooking spray.
- The leaner the meat the more oil is needed to prevent burning.
- Fattier meats might not even need oil.
- Put beef and onion in pan and season with salt and pepper.
- Brown beef with onion on medium-high heat.
- Reduce to medium heat.
- Add salsa and stir in completely.
- Add taco seasoning packet and stir in completely.
- If more flavor is desired season additionally with cayenne pepper, chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
- After everything is mixed in, turn heat to simmer taco mixture for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let sit 5 minutes before serving.
