Chili from Betty

  1. brown ground beef and drain excess fat
  2. add onions, peppers, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, basil, red peppers and cumin
  3. mix well
  4. cook until onion & pepper are soft about 5 minutes
  5. stir in sugar, salt, tomatoes and tomato sauce
  6. mix well
  7. bring to a boil
  8. turn down heat and simmer for 1 to 2 hours stirring occassionally
