Chili from Betty
- 2 1/2 lb ground meat
- 2 cup chopped onions
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp red pepper
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 can green pepper
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp basil
- 2 tsp ground cumib
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 can tomato sauce
- 2 can tomato
- brown ground beef and drain excess fat
- add onions, peppers, garlic powder, chili powder, oregano, basil, red peppers and cumin
- mix well
- cook until onion & pepper are soft about 5 minutes
- stir in sugar, salt, tomatoes and tomato sauce
- mix well
- bring to a boil
- turn down heat and simmer for 1 to 2 hours stirring occassionally
