Hamburger Steak Sticks Shaped Like Horsetails

  1. Finely chop the onions a little finer than usual, place in a bowl, mix with vegetable oil, cover with plastic wrap, microwave at 500W for about 3 minutes, and let cool.
  2. Cut the carrots and sweet potatoes vertically into 6 sticks, run them quickly under water, wrap in plastic wrap, and microwave for about 40-50 seconds at 500W (they should be firm).
  3. Peel the hard stalk of asparagus, and cut 2 sticks into 6 equal portions.
