German Apple Pancake
- 2 eggs
- 12 cup all-purpose flour
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 34 cup firm packed brown sugar
- 1 12 tablespoons cornstarch
- 12 cup milk
- 14 cup butter, melted
- 4 cups peeled and slice apples
- Combine eggs, flour, salt and 1/2 cup milk; beat until smooth.
- Heat a 10 inch oven proof, non-stick skillet at 450F for 5 minutes or until hot.
- Add 1 tbls.
- butter, stirring to coat skiller; pour on batter.
- Bake at 450F for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350F and bake an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.
- Combine sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan; stir in 12/2 cup milk and 1/4 cup melted butter.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Reduce heat; add apples, and cook until tender.
- Spoon hlf of mixture onto pancake.
- Cut into wedges, and serve with remaining apple mixture.
