Beef Cholent (Sabbath Meal In One) Recipe
- 1 1/2 lb lean beef pot roast
- 1 x onion minced
- 1 c. lima beans soaked overnight in water to cover
- 2 x potatoes peeled and cut into quarters
- 4 x carrots cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper grnd
- 2 x bay leaves
- Brown the pot roast in a nonstick pan with the onion.
- Combine with the remaining ingredients in a Dutch oven or possibly crockpot.
- Add in sufficient water to cover the ingredients.
- Cover tightly and simmer slowly in a 200-degree oven or possibly crockpot overnight.
- Serves 6
