Jim's Sourdough Biscuits

  1. Mix the starter milk and 1 cup of the flour in a large bowl.
  2. Cover and keep at room temp.
  3. to let rise.
  4. Turn this out onto 1 cup flour on a bread board.
  5. Combine salt, sugar, baking powder.
  6. and soda with remaining 1/2 cup of flour and sift over the top.
  7. With hand knead lightly until the proper consistency.
  8. Roll to a 1/2 inch thick.
  9. Cut out and dip in either warm bacon grease or a mixture of half salad oil and melted butter.
  10. Place close together in a 9x9 pan and set in warm place to rise for about half hour.
  11. Bake in a 375F (190C) oven for for about 35 minutes or until done.
