Smoky Apple Butter County Ribs

  1. Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. In 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, place ribs.
  3. Cover with onion slices.
  4. In small bowl, mix remaining ingredients, pour over ribs and onions.
  5. Cover, cook on LOW heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  6. Remove ribs from cooker, place on serving platter.
  7. Cover to keep warm.
  8. Pour juices from cooker through strainer into 1 quart saucepan.
  9. Heat to boiling over medium-high hfeat; reduce heat to medium.
  10. Cook about 5 minutes or until sauce has slightly thickened.
  11. Serve sauce with ribs.
