Cheeseburger Pie
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell, pricked
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 c. tomato sauce
- 1/3 c. green pepper, chopped
- 1/3 c. onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. instant beef bouillon or 1 cube
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- chopped tomato and shredded lettuce
- Preheat oven to 425u0b0.
- Bake pie shell 8 minutes; remove from oven.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350u0b0.
- Cut 6 slices cheese into pieces; set aside.
- In large skillet, brown beef; drain fat.
- Add tomato sauce, green pepper, onion and bouillon; cook and stir until bouillon dissolves.
- Remove from heat; stir in eggs, flour and cheese pieces.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until hot.
- Arrange cheese slices on top.
- Return to oven 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
- Garnish with tomato and lettuce.
