Teriyaki Sesame Shrimp

  1. Preheat a grill or griddle pan over medium heat and coat with cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, add teriyaki sauce, ginger, honey, and black pepper.
  3. Whisk well and set aside.
  4. In a small frying pan over low heat, lightly toast sesame seeds.
  5. Transfer to a plate.
  6. On a clean work surface, lay fresh shrimp on its side.
  7. Using a sharp knife, butterfly carefully by cutting through the center, halfway through, starting at the larger end 3/4 the way down near end.
  8. Open up the shrimp.
  9. Place butterflied shrimp in the teriyaki marinade for a few minutes.
  10. Coat each shrimp in sesame seeds and place on grill/griddle pan.
  11. Cook on medium high 4 minutes each side.
  12. Serve over rice.
  13. These are a favorite!
