Yule Kaka

  1. Combine milk, shortening, sugar and spices.
  2. Cool to lukewarm. Add yeast, softened, in warm water.
  3. Add eggs and mix well.
  4. Add flour; beat well.
  5. Add fruits and remaining flour.
  6. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down and knead lightly.
  7. Form into 3 loaves. Grease pans.
  8. Let rise until double in bulk.
  9. Bake in 350u0b0 oven for 45 minutes.
  10. While warm, brush with melted butter.
