Pan Con Tomate (Tomato Bread)
- 1 loaf Crusty Bread, Such As Ciabatta, Split Lengthwise (horizontally So You Have A Top And A Bottom) Then Sliced Into 4-inch Or So Pieces
- 3 whole Tomatoes
- Olive Oil As Needed For Drizzling
- Coarse Salt To Taste
- Preheat your ovens broiler.
- Place the bread face up on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle the cut sides of the bread with olive oil.
- Broil face up for 3-5 minutes until crispy and charred in some places.
- Meanwhile, process the tomatoes in a food processor for a few seconds until roughly chopped and saucy.
- Spoon tomatoes over the charred bread and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Serve!
