Baked Pork Chops with Apples and Sauerkraut
- 4 Pork Chops, Trim Any Fat
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 14 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Avocado Oil
- 1 whole Onion, Sliced Thin
- 1 whole Aple, Cored, Peeled And Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Apple Juice
- 2 pounds Sauerkraut Drained
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper to taste, and garlic powder.
- In a saute pan over medium heat, add avocado oil.
- Brown pork chops on both sides, about 4 minutes each side.
- Set aside.
- In a casserole dish, combine sliced onion, chopped apple, brown sugar, apple juice and drained sauerkraut.
- Add browned pork chops and combine so that pork chops are somewhat covered with the sauerkraut and juices.
- Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Pork chops should be tender and no longer pink.
