Boston Calzone Recipe
- 1 frzn bread dough
- 1/2 pound pepperoni, sliced paper thin
- 1/2 pound American cheese, sliced paper thin
- 1/2 green or possibly red pepper, minced fine
- 1/2 med. onion, minced fine
- 1/2 pkg. frzn minced spinach
- Grease large bowl and place frzn dough in bowl, cover with towel.
- Put in hot dark spot for 6 to 8 hrs.
- Dough will rise.
- Roll out dough and spread minced veggies on dough.
- Sprinkle liquid removed minced spinach on top of veggies.
- Place thin sliced pepperoni on top of veggies, then place thin sliced cheese on top of everything.
- Now roll the dough tightly (I use a helper).
- Place rolled calzone on a greased cookie sheet.
- Brush the yolk of 1 egg over calzone, poke holes in top and bake at 350 degrees for 30 min.
- Wait 10 min and slice on an angle.
