Bumblebee & Butterfly Brownie Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease and flour 15x10x1-inch baking pan; set aside.
  3. Combine 1 cup butter, water and unsweetened baking chocolate in 3-quart saucepan.
  4. Cook over medium heat 6-7 minutes or until mixture just comes to a boil.
  5. Remove from heat; cool slightly.
  6. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt in bowl; mix well.
  7. Add eggs and chocolate mixture; beat at medium speed until well mixed.
  8. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan.
  9. Bake 18-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Combine all frosting ingredients except half & half in bowl.
  12. Beat at medium-high speed, adding enough half & half for desired frosting consistency.
  13. Frost cooled cake.
  14. Create butterfly wings by dipping double rounded ends of pretzels half way into melted candy coating.
  15. Immediately sprinkle each with decorator sugars.
  16. Place onto waxed paper; let stand until set.
  17. Place 2 coated pretzels with non-coated edges touching.
  18. Place onto cake.
  19. Attach 2 pieces licorice over center using small amount of melted candy coating.
  20. Create bees by cutting 1 blackberry candy and 1 yellow gumdrop in half; attach cut-sides together, with small amount of melted candy coating, alternating colors.
  21. Attach small piece of black string licorice for antennas; place onto cake with candy coating.
