Asparagus Casserole
- 2 (15 ounce) cans asparagus, drained
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 12 cups milk
- 34 cup shredded parmesan cheese, divided
- 18 teaspoon salt
- 18 teaspoon pepper
- 23 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 14 teaspoon paprika
- Arrange asparagus in greased 13x9 dish.
- Melt 3 tablespoons butter and whisk in flour until smooth.
- Cook, whisking constantly about 1 minute.
- Add milk and cook, whisking constantly, until thick and bubbly.
- Stir in 1/2 cup cheese, pepper, and salt and pour over asparagus.
- Stir together remaining 1/4 cup cheese, breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon melted butter, and paprika and sprinkle evenly over casserole.
- Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or until heated.
