Squash Apple Bake
- 1 medium butternut squash, peeled 'n cut into 3/4-inch slices
- 2 apples, peeled, cored and cut into wedges
- 14 cup brown sugar
- 14 cup Splenda granular
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 14 cup butter, melted
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon ground mace, nutmeg and cloves option
- Arrange squash in a 12-in.
- x 8-in.
- baking pan.
- Top with apple wedges.
- Combine remaining ingredients; spoon over apples.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until tender.
- Nutmeg and cloves can be substituted for mace.
- Half the brown sugar can be subbed with Splenda.
- Cut fruit into big chunks so as not to overbake.
- Might could use 9" x 13" dish, peel squash well.
