Easy Rusk with Sandwich Bread in 5 Minutes
- 3 slice Sliced sandwich bread
- 20 grams Sugar
- 20 grams Butter (or margarine)
- Bring the butter to room temperature.
- When the butter has softened, mix in the sugar.
- Slice the sliced sandwich bread down its side (to make two thin slices), then cut in a cross-shaped pattern to make 4 squares.
- Place the bread in a heat-resistant plate and microwave for 2 minutes.
- When the moisture has evaporated and the bread has hardened, flip them over, and microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes.
- When the moisture has evaporated and they are crispy, spread the sugar butter onto the toasts.
- Toast in the toaster oven for 1 1/2 minutes, once the butter and sugar has melted and both sides are golden brown, they are done.
