Easy Rusk with Sandwich Bread in 5 Minutes

  1. Bring the butter to room temperature.
  2. When the butter has softened, mix in the sugar.
  3. Slice the sliced sandwich bread down its side (to make two thin slices), then cut in a cross-shaped pattern to make 4 squares.
  4. Place the bread in a heat-resistant plate and microwave for 2 minutes.
  5. When the moisture has evaporated and the bread has hardened, flip them over, and microwave for another 1 1/2 minutes.
  6. When the moisture has evaporated and they are crispy, spread the sugar butter onto the toasts.
  7. Toast in the toaster oven for 1 1/2 minutes, once the butter and sugar has melted and both sides are golden brown, they are done.
