Tamale Dough

  1. combine maseca, baking powder and slat in a bowl
  2. work broth or water with your fingers to make soft moist dough.
  3. in small bowl, beat lard or shorting until fluffy,
  4. Add mass and beat until dough has a spongy texture
  5. prepare tamales with desired filling.
  6. makes enough dough for about 16 small tamales.
