Yankee Nibblers

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Combine sugar, butter and egg in bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  4. Add all remaining cookie ingredients; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed and dough forms.
  5. Shape rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into 1-inch balls.
  6. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake 6-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  8. Cool completely.
  9. Combine all glaze ingredients in bowl except milk and chocolate.
  10. Beat at medium speed, adding enough milk for desired glazing consistency.
  11. Remove 1 cup glaze to another bowl.
  12. Add melted chocolate; mix well.
  13. Frost half of each cookie with white frosting and half with chocolate.
  14. Place onto waxed paper.
  15. (If chocolate glaze begins to harden, heat in microwave 5-10 seconds.)
  16. Let stand 1 hour or until set.
