Mixed-Fruit Pavlova

  1. Preheat oven to 300F.
  2. Grease a 7" or 8" round baking pan.
  3. Beat egg whites until soft peaks appear.
  4. Gradually add the sugar and continue beating until the sugar is dissolved and the eggs become thick.
  5. Add the cornstarch, vanilla and vinegar.
  6. Mix carefully.
  7. Spoon the mixture into the baking pan.
  8. Bake for about 40' or until golden.
  9. Let cool and then turn onto a serving plate.
  10. Slice fruit and whip the cream (you can add sugar and vanilla to the cream to make it sweeter).
  11. Cover the cake with whipping cream and fruit.
  12. Serve.
