Vegetable Salad Shells Recipe
- 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn mixed vegetables
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 2 tbsp. finely minced green pepper
- 2 tbsp. finely minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
- Several dashes of red warm sauce
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 6 sm. lettuce leaves
- In saucepan cook frzn vegetables according to package (no salt).
- Drain.
- In bowl combine vinegar, oil, sugar, green pepper, onion, celery seed, mustard seed nd warm pepper sauce.
- Mix well.
- Add in cooked vegetables.
- Cover and chill, cook pasta shells according to package (no salt).
- Drain and chill.
- Drain off chilled vegetables and spoon into shells, arrange 2 shells per lettuce leaf per serving.
- Serves 6.
